“We hired Workplace Forward® to design a special on-boarding and training program to support an employee acquisition for which we were to integrate hundreds of new employees into our organization over a short period of time. We wanted to ensure these employees had a positive experience and felt they had access to the tools and resources they needed to do their jobs.
Workplace Forward® created a competency-based, 12 week on-boarding and training program for us to ensure that we met the goal of taking good care of our new employees. Workplace Forward® started out by doing deep discovery work, interviewing key executive leaders and stakeholders, reviewing the competencies for several job families and creating any that were missing. They gathered and analyzed hundreds of training modules and supporting documentation from programs across our business and leveraged those to design our program. They were also able to identified where we had gaps so that we could secure additional content as needed. They provided us with executive level presentations for each milestone and a deep level of proactive transparency when it came to opportunities and potential blind spots.
Prior to launching the program, we had Workplace Forward’s® founder, Tegan Trovato, conduct a workshop with our leaders and subject matter experts to ensure they had the necessary coaching and facilitation skills to run the on-boarding and training program. She conducted a few of the initial new employee orientations and training so that our leadership team could observe her and ultimately model their own practices from hers. She continued to serve as our go-to expert while we ran the first couple months of the program.
Over the several months it took to launch this initiative, Workplace Forward® served as an extension of our People & Culture and Learning & Development Team. They were fully embedded and in the trenches with us. At the completion of the program, Tegan met with our Global L&D Team to transition the analysis documentation, files and generously gave us copies of the tools she used when she did the work. Most importantly, she provided us with a road map for ways we may leverage this program across our business at a broader level in the future. We got more value out of this engagement with Workplace Forward® than we could have imagined. We will certainly work with them again in the future.”
